Hello and welcome! My name is Dan Huebner and my Border Collie's name is Kelly Belle.
We are from Ridge, NY. We are a Frisbee competition and
demo team. Kelly Belle is a very loving and friendly dog. She is very young
and incredibly intelligent. Carley, my black and white border collie as seen
in the pictures passed away last year with a sudden and severe kidney
infection and will be forever in my heart. Carley and I competed on a high
level from 2007-2011, she was exceptional and my close companion.
I became interested in this activity in my apt. by just playing with a soft
Frisbee indoors and it blossomed to where we are now. I'm a member of the
Mid
Atlantic Disc Dogs Club located in
Maryland and try to participate in events with
Yankee Flyers Disc Dog Club located in
Connecticut. We compete in many different events across the East Coast.
Carley won 2 local championships plus 2 Mid Atlantic Disc Dog Titles in
Bull's-eye and Time Trial in 2009
CARLEY
CARLEY was an International Finalist at USDDN finals in Georgia in 2010.
She also was on the cover of
Explore Long Island in Newsday on July 9th, 2010 and the article was about
an event we hold on Long Island. She appeared in the 365 "Page A Day
Calendar" in 2007. Carley was also in the Washington Gazette in 2008. We
were part of the TV show "Long Island Journal" in 2009 and 2010.
I've developed this site for many reasons: to list competitions, provide
some training and offer a chance for us to do demos.
We've done quite a few demos on Long
Island already, In 2009 we did the Walk for Cancer at Belmont Park, 2009 and
2010 the Cutchogue Canine Festival in Mattituck, 2009 Family Fido Festival
in the Hamptons, 2009 Walk for Dog Cancer at Bear Mountain, NY and the 2010
Music Festival in Patchogue.
I also run an annual event in July in Sayville called "Everything's Jake"
which was founded by my good friend Alan Michalak who helped me get involved
in this wonderful dog sport!

CARLEY
Kelly Belle my present dog has already won a competition for Novice (Beginners) at just 7 months old and her future in the sport looks very bright.
